When we sat down at the drawing board with the KiGen team, this was one of the first important questions we asked ourselves.<\/p>\n

We want to emphasize once again that KiGen was created from the perspective of the koi hobbyist.<\/p>\n

If you look at the range of koi food available, you’d almost believe that koi need a different diet for every season, color, and mood. Spring feed, summer feed, autumn feed, winter feed… and that’s not even mentioning growth feed, color enhancers, and health feed. Let’s start by saying that health, color, body development, and digestive quality are all very important, but why do we have to buy different types of feed for them every time? Types of feed that are also insanely expensive because of their so-called special properties.<\/p>\n

To provide an affordable and complete koi food that contains everything your koi need.<\/p>\n

Health, body development, color enhancers (both white and red), and suitable for multiple seasons. Ideally, we would have developed a feed that would be suitable for all seasons.<\/p>\n

In theory, this was possible, but the difference in protein requirements in winter and spring is completely different from the protein requirements during the growing season. Not to mention the strain all those excess proteins put on your filter.<\/p>\n

Tosai feed is in a class of its own. Because the current offering in this category is structurally lacking, we at KiGen have developed a tosai feed that goes further in every area than what is currently on the market.<\/p>\n
